this week we used rice!
First I divided 2 bags of rice into 4 bowls. Added a few drop of food colouring into each bowl, yellow, blue, red and green.
For the older children they helped me mix this and played with the dry rice.
That night I took the bowls home and cooked the rice, in separate pots.
On Thursday I placed the four bowls in the shell for the little ones to touch, spill, through and yes, EAT.
Our edible paint turned into slime!
When life gives you 🍋 lemons! The paint/slime was super easy to make.
Stir 4 table spoons of Corn flower and a little water to get her to Make a paste. Then add a cup of water and stir over a light heat until you see clear steaks.
Poor into 4 containers, mix in food colouring. About 4 drops each.
This makes a nice paint. Once in the fridge over night it makes slime!
The second picture is use of random materials around the house and tired rose petals!
Materials such as bubble wrap, foil, whatever you can find. Then held by a peg!

Have I ever said I love my job, well I'm saying it now, again, I love my job!
Here in Perth we had an amazing thunderstorm on Wednesday night. So on Thursday I thought we could try the cloud in a jar trick.
It worked so well! The parents loved the "raining" part. The kids wanted to touch the cloud part.
So, I grabbed some paper, quick smart and let them do some finger, shaving cream, and cloud painting!
I love kids ideas!
